Parents, West Tampa Little League is offering you the opportunity to become a board member and make a difference at WTLL. The Board of Directors, elected from and by the adult members of the league, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the league within the rules, regulations and policies of Little League. The 2019 board elections will be held on:

Board of Directors Position Descriptions
Appoints all managers coaches umpires and committees and presides at all meetings. He/She is the person who Little maintains contact with. They are on the executive board and is obligated to attend 12 yearly meeting.
Is the deputy director or acting president of the league during the president’s absence. They are in charge of putting together the monthly agenda. They are also in charge of several areas of the league. Position is executive board.
Vice President, Baseball
They are in charge of all operations of the baseball arm of the league they recommend manager and coach candidates to the president for approval. They formulate schedules and assist all commissioners in the operation of their division. They are an executive board member and responsible for the training of all baseball coaches and managers and providing clinics and monitoring practices and games throughout the season.
Vice President, Softball
The softball VP has the same duties as the VP of baseball.They are an executive board member and responsible for the training of all baseball coaches and managers and providing clinics and monitoring practices and games throughout the season.
Responsible for recording accurate minutes of all meetings and send monthly notices of meetings and any correspondences from the league to outside parties. They are an executive board member.
They shall keep an accurate accounting of all funds of the league and provide monthly reports for the general board. They shall also chair the finance committee. They responsible for paying all bills accrued by the league and file all tax reports required by the IRS. They are an executive board member.
They are responsible for the registration of all players and for administering the drafts of the teams. They will provide all records little that league requires and assemble All-Star books at the spring season. They also collect and process all volunteer applications They are an executive board member.
They are responsible for the league website and the production of any materials such as flyers and sending email blasts to league families. They also are responsible for the introduction of new technologies to the league. They are an executive board member.
Baseball Equipment Manager
They are responsible for the purchasing and inventorying of all equipment and uniforms for baseball and the collection of that equipment at the end of the year. They are a general board member and are responsible for attending 6 meetings per year.
Softball Equipment Manager
They have the same duties for softball as the baseball equipment manager. They are a general board member and are responsible for attending 6 meetings per year.
They are responsible for sponsorships signs and any fundraisers set forth by the league. They are an executive board member.
Sargent at Arms
They control all meetings to ensure that the flow of the meetings are uninterrupted and follow Roberts rules of order. They are also Chair of the discipline committee. They are a general board member.
- T-Ball / Coach Pitch
- 50/70 and seniors
They recommend managers and coaches to VP of baseball. Assist in schedules for their divisions and are responsible for their divisions operation throughout the season. All four baseball commissioners are general board members.
All three have the same responsibilities as the baseball commissioners are are general board members.
They are in charge of the division for physically and mentally challenged young people and have the same duties as the other commissioners. They are a general board member.
Baseball Umpire in Chief
Is in charge of recommending umpires to the president and the scheduling of all umpires for all games required by the league for baseball. They are a general board member.
Softball Umpire in Chief
Same duties as the baseball umpire in chief. They are a general board member.
There are six (6) at large members who speak in behalf of the kids and parents of the league and are required to serve on a committee appointed by the president. All at large members are general board members except one to be selected by the president who will serve on the executive board.
They are in charge of all maintenance and repairs in the complex including the fields. They are also in charge of the handling of keys for the league. They are a general board member.
Team Parent Coordinator
They are in charge of all team parents and will work in conjunction with the fundraising coordinator. They will provide team parents with information sent out by the league and provide schedules for team parents, information for team pictures and participation in the opening day ceremony and any fundraisers. They are a general board member.
They are responsible for filing the yearly safety as required by Little League and filing necessary paperwork with Little League concerning injuries to player coaches or fans. They are a general board member.
Will work in conjunction with the Team Parent Coordinator and the Fundraising Director and the Player Agent to ensure that all events have proper levels of volunteers to make them run efficiently. For example, opening day ceremonies, closing day ceremonies, fundraisers, tournaments we host and more. They also will ensure all parents on scholarship work off those scholarships in some area of the league. They are a general board member.
All executive board members are required to attend twelve (12) meetings per year and regular members are required to attend six meetings per year.
All members shall serve a two (2) year term and will be required to serve on a committee and participate in post season tournaments.
